The mod Colonial Charter (which can be downloaded very easily on the steam workshop) expands the building and resource lists immensely, giving veteran players tons of extra content to experience. The mod could really be considered 'Banished 2,' as it improves on almost every aspect of the game. I would still recommend new players to play the base game first as training wheels for the game mechanics. But Here's the tricky thing about peeking at early game development. the bug wasn't game breaking and just required me to demolish a dock to fix it. I like the basic idea of the game, but as seems to be the problem with all city builders, I get bored quickly without a real goal. The Survival aspect gives it a bit more longevity than games like sim city in my opinion, but it still gets tired somewhat fast. Once I've seen 3 winters, I feel like I've seen them all.
